This will be Ricky's second Instrumental Solo Album. In this record, Ricky bring us the same concept of rock, prog rock and many guitar lines. Everything very well mixed with orchestral arrangements. The album has 7 Instrumental Tracks. All writen and arranged by Ricky in his studio. The record process took around 3 months from start to finish.
Ricky played, programed and recorded all the guitars, bass, drums, keyboards, synths solos and orchestral arrangements. A truly one man band project. In this album, Ricky put all the best songs that came up during the pre-production. Making a perfect balanced record.
The opening track "Maverick" it's a orchestral/prog-metal tune that it's divided in two parts. The first one it's more metal and direct. The second half give us the taste of prog-metal, with odd time signatures, dark riffs that switchs during all the second part, meanwhile synths solos runs during the next two minutes.
The next track "Lifestream" it's a ballad in Re minor. It's a track about overcome depression and keep going.
The third track "Sunrise in your Eyes" was recorded in honor of the Asians. People that Ricky has the greatest respect and admiration.
"Full Throttle, the fourth track, is a more direct rock song on the album. It is about doing the best you can in what you do in this life.
"The Angel's Choir", it's the fifth track from album. It's a more Gospel tune, with several choirs arrangements and several time signatures changes. 11/8, 7/8 and 8/8 to be more precisely. Ricky also wrote the Synth Solo that we have in this one.
The sixth track from "Maverick" it's "Twilight". A track that Ricky wrote many years ago.
According to ricky, he always tried to improve his guitar technique in front of his house watching the sunset.
That was the inspiration for the track.
The last song on the album is "Shadows Will Fade Someday". A complete song from the orchestra with many changes of tones.
To complete the album, Ricky wanted to have a song that would challenge him technically and theoretically, in terms of composition.
Then, after days and days of composing, he finally achieved a harmony that fulfilled the requirements he intended for this song.
Note:
Ricky de Camargo: Guitars, Bass, Drums, Piano, Keyboards, Orchestral and MIDI arrangements.

Polish/Finnish power/prog metal outfit Exlibris released their third song from the upcoming album “Shadowrise”.
“All I Never Knew... is again one of those songs on the album that's something different than what I've recorded before with Exlibris. The mood in the verses is similiar to Rule #1 (in my opinion at least) and then there's this killer chorus. You simply can't hate it.” - says lead singer Riku Turunen, who also made the lyric video for the song. “The idea of the video kind of just came out from nowhere. I had already done three or four videos for the album and wanted to do something different than just basic motion graphics. I looked at my camera and tripod and some paper on the kitchen table and figured out to "draw" the video by hand. I was almost happy with it until I had another idea to put the first filmed part inside another one, because.. well.. two videos is more than one. And as you all know, more is more.” - he adds.
The band revealed that they had prepared a video for each of the six songs on the album and will be releasing them one by one every two weeks. The release of sixth and final song on April 17th will coincide with the physical release on CD.
“Shadowrise” is now available for preorder via their website: https://www.exlibrisband.com

PUP Share Video For "Morbid Stuff" Shot Live Across Two Sold Out London Shows Handheld Footage Recorded By 19 Fans
Following the end of the band’s recent world tour, a run that had them on the road for 9 months, PUP today share the video for "Morbid Stuff", recorded live and shot on cheap handheld cameras handed out to 19 gig-goers the band personally connected with in advance of their recent sold out London dates. As premiered yesterday on the fans’ social media accounts, the clip showcases the sweat-stained euphoria of the band’s shows and once again captures the unique bond between PUP and the people that come to their gigs, screaming every word.
Taken from the critically-acclaimed album of the same name, today’s release isn’t the first time they’ve collaborated on visuals with fans, for the ‘Free At Last’ video, which served as a love letter to their fans, the band called on people to record their own versions of a song not-yet-released, supplying only chords and lyrics to hilarious and impressive results.
Redefining the relationship between artist and fans, they’ve often let fans feel as much a part of PUP as the four people onstage, creating zines that connect on a more intimate level than social media, used in the past to leak information of upcoming releases like the single "Kids" through fans all pushed via their fan-facing Little Dipper label imprint. With the news that PUP will return to this side of the Atlantic next year for a summer of festival appearances, it was recently announced that the band, following 9 months touring, had offset the entire run through Less.ca. To raise the funds necessary, vocalist Stefan Babcock set to create 50 personalized one-of-a-kind tattoos for specific fans, all of which he’d connected with directly, again blurring the line between the band and its fans.
2020 EU festival dates:
June 19th | Hradec Kralove, CZ @ Rock For People June 20th | Neuhausen ob Eck, DE @ Southside June 26th | Ysselsteyn, NL @ Jera on Air
About "Morbid Stuff":
Formed in Toronto five years ago, PUP, comprised of Stefan Babcock, Nestor Chumak, Zack Mykula, and Steve Sladkowski, quickly became favourites of the punk scene with their first two, critically-beloved albums, winning accolades everywhere from the New York Times to Pitchfork, from NPR and Rolling Stone, and more. Now, with "Morbid Stuff", PUP have grown up and doubled down on everything that made you love their first two records. It’s gang’s-all-here vocals, guitarmonies, and lyrics about death. Lots of them.
Fitting to their ethos, their new album takes the dichotomy of fun and emotional wreckage in their songs and teeters between gleeful chaos and bleak oblivion while wielding some of the best choruses the band has ever written. "Morbid Stuff" is also a pretty intense foray into singer Stefan Babcock’s fight with depression, and shows, in perfect PUP fashion, how taking responsibility of his own depression lead him to….laughter. Admitting his depression allowed Babcock to laugh in its face, and the result is that marriage of darkness and joy that made PUP who they are, but in a brand new way.
Indeed, despite its dark subject matter, at times "Morbid Stuff" is funny as hell, even in the music. It’s the most insightful, sweetest, funniest, sickest, angriest, saddest and most inescapably desperate collection of songs they’ve recorded to date. If their self-titled record was the fuse and The Dream Is Over was the bomb going off, "Morbid Stuff" is your family sifting through the rubble, only to find you giggling while you bleed to death. Spanish Love Songs Release Video For "Beachfront Property" New Album "Brave Faces Everyone" Out February 7th
Five-piece punk band Spanish Love Songs are sharing their new single and music video “Beachfront Property".
“Beachfront Property” is the band’s final single off of their forthcoming album, "Brave Faces Everyone", which will be released tomorrow, February 7, 2020 via Pure Noise Records.
Lead vocalist and songwriter, Dylan Slocum shares: "This is a song about the apathy and anxiety that I see in myself and my friends, especially concerning the chaos that seems to be coming our way. On any given day our anxiety feels hyperbolic, or is the punchline to a joke, or keeps us up all night, but we don’t really do anything about it because it feels insurmountable and inescapable. It’s not meant to preachy - life is difficult. But we have to try to call ourselves on our shit if we ever hope to change anything".
On a more literal level, the track focuses on relevant topics such as climate change, student loan debt, and gun violence – some of the album’s recurring themes - because Slocum obsesses over these problems. He says: "The answers seem so obvious, yet nothing ever really changes. It’s tiring”.
Slocum continues to share about the record: "This album is us honing in on what we think makes our band resonate with people - namely, the feeling that you’re not alone. These are songs about looking outward and finding that, for all our differences, most of us are just trying to get by as the world is going to hell around us. We don’t have any grand ambitions beyond that — we just want people to feel acknowledged. There’s comfort in knowing we’re on the same sinking ship. We want the album to be a knowing nod and a way to make the world a slightly more bearable, even if it’s just for 40 minutes".
The ten-track album, produced by guitarist Kyle McAulay at Howard Benson’s West Valley Recording, is steeped in the same detail-rich storytelling of Bruce Springsteen, The Menzingers and Manchester Orchestra. These songs represent the situations Slocum, McAulay, and their bandmates bassist Trevor Dietrich, drummer Ruben Duarte and keyboardist Meredith Van Woert experienced during 30-some weeks of rigorous touring during the album cycle of their previous record, Schmaltz.
In support of "Brave Faces Everyone", the band is currently on a three-week EU tour supporting The Menzingers. Check the dates below:
3rd February – Amsterdam, Netherlands @ Melkweg 4th February – Antwerpen, Belgium @ Zappa
“When you’re young, you just want to be heard” opines Slocum. The singer and guitarist of LA-based punk quintet, Spanish Love Songs, is referencing his band, but he could just as easily be talking about himself. Since forming in 2014, Spanish Love Songs certainly have been heard, from legions of underground audiences at The Fest and South By Southwest to outlets like NPR, who hailed the group’s 2018 album, Schmaltz, as a “wellspring of big ideas, bigger riffs and the biggest possible feelings about love, war, fear and existential crisis”.
Over the past six years, Spanish Love Songs have released two albums and an EP. With "Brave Faces Everyone", the songs are character stories set in small-town America and anxious urban jungles alike, unfurling heartbreaking tales of addiction, depression, debt and death juxtaposed alongside looming societal bogeys like mass shootings, the opioid epidemic and climate change. They’re all at once personal vignettes and universal truths of life in the 2010s, the lines blurred between Slocum’s own experiences and those of his friends and acquaintances. It seeks to find balance between realism and optimism.
“If you sing something loud enough and long enough” Slocum muses “hopefully people are able to find some peace in that”. "Brave Faces Everyone" experiments with more traditional song structures and fewer forwardly caustic moments this time around haven’t dulled the band’s sound. If anything, they’ve accentuated the most important parts of it. When everything is loud and urgent, nothing is. But when Slocum’s voice swells to a roar on this new record, the undeniable power grabs you by the collar and forces you to pay attention - and that’s the difference between simply being heard and truly being understood.
"Brave Faces Everyone" will be released on February 7, 2020.
DEFOX RECORDS and INVINCIBLE RECORDS are excited to announce "Prayers of the death" the debut album of cult mexican musicians, Death and Thrash Metal band SLAVES OF PAIN. Devilskin’s new song ‘ENDO’, is a powerfully crafted and visceral masterpiece. Not only does it showcase vocalist Jennie Skulander’s incredible power, range and emotional depth but the lyrics are an honest and brutal narrative of her personal struggle with stage 4 endometriosis.
A poignant glimpse into the pain and distress that millions of women live with on a daily basis all over the world, the song ENDO is Jennie's cathartic exorcism of her own personal demons. “Endo is based on my surgery for Stage 4 Endometriosis, something I was unaware I had. The lyric "Break the mass up" is about having an 11 cm cyst (Endometrioma) on my ovary removed. This disease affects so many women worldwide, I really think it’s time we talked openly about it.” Watch the Endo video below:
The band explore dynamic new territory with this moody, rollercoaster of a song. Recorded at Roundhead Studios with producer Greg Haver (Bullet For My Valentine, Manic Street Preachers), engineered by Simon Gooding (Alien Weaponry, Neil Finn) and mixed in Los Angeles by Ben Grosse (Marilyn Manson, Disturbed, Stone Temple Pilots), the song was mastered in New York by Ryan Smith.
Devilskin display confidence and a mastery of their art with a delivery that’s both beautiful and bombastic. The gorgeous close vocal intro gives way to a crushing, all-powerful riff and the song twists, turns and totally engulfs the listener, just like the condition itself. “We've been writing a lot and really digging deep into the songs and the emotions involved. We have definitely evolved again as songwriters. We love to write our own rules, push boundaries and kick down barriers. You need to in order to grow” says band spokesman Paul Martin.
“Deborah Bush CEO of ENZ, said that more than 120,000 girls and women have endometriosis in NZ and it can take 8+ years to get a diagnosis. The most important thing is to recognise the symptoms early and follow a recommended treatment plan to avoid symptoms interfering with schooling, career, relationships, quality of life or fertility downstream.”
Director Shae Sterling has filmed a stunning and visually arresting video, which was creatively written with the band. “The subject matter demands attention, and we are confident this video does it real justice” says Paul Martin “It's not for the faint hearted.”

IDOL RICH "Working Girls" - limited edition CD out now on No Remorse Records
The British act IDOL RICH was founded in 1984 by guitarists Tim Jones and Nick Burr and although it was a reasonably short-lived act, they achieved much critical acclaim and featured well known musicians from some of the hottest New Wave of British Rock bands at the time.
The 4 track EP entitled "Working Girls" which was released in 1985, and which was available in just 1000 copies, gathered a lot of positive reviews, and IDOL RICH was labeled as one of the best young bands in the UK.
Thanks to No Remorse Records, the EP is now available again, and was extended to the size of a regular album - the reissue includes extra tracks that were recorded by the final incarnation of the band, feat. two ex-TOBRUK members, Stuart “Snake” Neal on vocals and Eddie Fincher on drums. Fans of melodic NWoBHM acts such as GRIM REAPER or PRAYING MANTIS: this one is for you!
Rockshots Records proudly present Doll’s Diary a melody-driven and song-based band from Ukraine, playing hard drama rock!
Their debut album “Hard & Loud” is inspired by a combination of uncompromising classic hard rock music with typically atmospheric orchestral elements, dramatic arrangements, nostalgic melodies and videogame motives. "Hard & Loud" released via Rockshots Records
Haema are an industrial-influenced experimental groove metal four-piece based in Northamptonshire, UK. Recently, the band has signed to metal label, Sliptrick Records, who have just released the quartet's debut EP, 'Insurrection', which was recorded at Initiate Audio & Media by Neil Hudson(Krysthla/Gutworm).
Formed in 2015, Haema encapsulate the essense of modern metal that likes to combine various styles of heavy music together. The four-piece hones in the heaviness and ferocity of groove metal, providing the crunchiest of hooks. This is balanced out by the infectiously catchy hooks reminiscent of the nu metal scene in the early 2000s. All the while topped off by the a layer of electronic sounds and machine gun like precision found in industrial.
Think if Fear Factory, American Head Charge and Machine Head were chucked into a blender, there’s a definite nod to the early 00s sound that ditched guitar solos in favour of raw emotion, down-tuned riffs and liberal use of electronics.
Within two years as a band, Haema have crafted a unique and individual sound that has been compared to the likes of the afformentioned bands also mixed with Tool / Rage Against The Machine overtones.

Following an appearance on Howard Stern yesterday (June 7th), Jim Breuer has launched a video for "Old School", taken from Jim Breuer and the Loud & Rowdy's new album, Songs From The Garage. Staying true to the theme of the album, the video begins in Breuer's garage and shows him paying tribute to the rock legends that inspired this musical endeavor in the first place. He and his backing band work their way from practicing in a garage to playing a huge venue, with guest appearances from Ozzy Osbourne, Brian Johnson, and even Kurt Cobain. Breuer says of the track: "This song is the perfect catchy summertime Hard Rock tune for you, and it's a throwback! It's 'OLD SCHOOL'". To watch "Old School",

Songs From The Garage features eleven tracks that are not only funny, but also relatable, reflecting Breuer's position in life: "A dad with three kids who loves family life, yet is still a metalhead at heart." The album also includes special guests such as Brian Johnson (AC/DC) - who provides vocals on two tracks - and producer/guitarist Rob Caggiano (Anthrax, Volbeat). After making his big break in 1995 when he joined the cast of NBC's legendary "Saturday Night Live," Breuer quickly became a fan-favorite for his original character "Goat Boy" and his dead-on impressions of actor Joe Pesci. Following his success on SNL, Breuer starred alongside Dave Chappelle in the cult favorite film "Half Baked."
On July 22nd, West Coast progressive heavy metallers Hammers of Misfortune will release their sixth full-length, Dead Revolution, worldwide via Metal Blade Records. Hammers of Misfortune enlisted Nick Dumitriu (Vhöl, Ritual Chamber) to produce this record, utilizing a vintage Trident board and minimizing digital processing. The result is a warm, sharp sound that harkens back to productions like John Leckie's treatment of Pink Floyd's Meddle or David Hitchcock's master work in Camel's Mirage. For a preview of Dead Revolution - and to pre-order the album in various formats! -
Recorded at Light Rail Studios in San Francisco, CA, Dead Revolution is more varied than its predecessor (2011's acclaimed 17th Street), by using different tones, and delving into heavier, darker territory. With tracks like the stupendous "The Precipice", the raging "Flying Alone", and the riff-organ fest that is "Dead Revolution", Hammers Of Misfortune have found a way to indulge their progresssive and psychedelic tendencies while remaining decidedly metal. That's not to say Dead Revolution is without its slow-burners: "Here Comes the Sky" pivots off a Pink Floyd axis (think "A Pillow in the Wind") - with its soft strums, careful vocal interplay, and delicate percussion - before jettisoning into traditional heavy metal motifs. "Of course, every song stands out to me," says principal songwriter and guitarist John Cobbett. "I've no idea how listeners will react to them. 'The Velvet Inquisition' is probably one of the most ambitious compositions we've ever recorded. I was trying some different writing methods and the results are...interesting. 'Days of '49' is an attempt to repurpose an old traditional folk song, which is new for us."
See below for the official track-listing, and stay tuned for more news coming soon!

Mirror launches new video for "Galleon" online; announces dates with Repulsion in the UK.
Hailed as the "…progressive answer to retro rock..." (DeadRhetoric.com), occult heavy metal outfit Mirror has launched a new video for the track "Galleon", which is taken from their recently released self-titled debut.
To watch the video
The musical brainchild of bassist Tas Danazoglou (Satan's Wrath, ex-Electric Wizard) Mirror's collection of cult crypt-kickers and mighty conjurings bears all the hallmarks of an instant classic. A chance meeting with respected producer (Ghost, Cathedral, Paradise Lost) and accomplished drummer Jaime Gomez Arellano led to the pair hitting on a shared vision of a classically aligned outfit that drew inspiration from the epic amplified landscapes of lore and legend whilst avoiding the lure of mere tribute, rather reinventing the sound and fury they loved anew. They were soon joined by Satan's Wrath axeman Stamos K, and their fate further sealed by the arrival of the mightily operatic tenor of vocalist Jimmy Mavromatis, before the ouroborus was completed with the arrival of Los Angeles-based guitarist Matt Olivo (Repulsion). Together as Mirror they deliver a thunderously resonant salvo of metal magnificence.
This April, Mirror will support Repulsion at select dates in the UK. In regards to these special performances, Tas Danazoglou comments: "We are very excited to play two shows supporting Repulsion. We will deliver pure, relentless heavy metal and hopefully many more shows will follow."

“Live From Lexxi’s Mom’s Garage” was taped in Los Angeles last October in front of a live audience of scantily clad woman (and one old creepy fat guy who somehow got a ticket) inside the uncharacteristically large and professionally lit garage of Ms. Foxx (Bobbie Brown), who coincidentally also happens to be the mother of Lexxi Foxx. The musical portions of the film feature the band performing acoustic versions of their most popular songs such as “Party Like Tomorrow is the End of the World” and “Community Property” as well as one new song titled, “That’s When You Came In.” Several female violin players who are “very easy on the eyes,” says Stix, are featured and play through the various hits with the band.
Between songs, the film follows the mischievousness of Steel Panther as they figure out who they can and cannot sleep with.
Steel Panther recently wrapped their ‘Well Hungover” North American headlining tour and last week announced a new UK arena tour. The UK run will fire up in Wacken, Germany at Wacken Open Air on 8/6, crisscross Europe and end at The Birmingham Barclay Card Arena on 10/19.
A full tour schedule can be found at the bottom of this release.
Hailing from Los Angeles, the epicenter for rock n’ roll in all its debauchery and glamour, Steel Panther has established themselves as the world’s premier party band, melding hard rock virtuosity with parody and criminally good looks. With three full-length albums, touring across the world, platinum-level You Tube status and high-profile television appearances such as Jimmy Kimmel Live, Larry King Now, and FOX NFL Sunday, the band is touring in support of their latest effort, All You Can Eat (Open E Records via Kobalt Label Services). Released in April, 2014 to rave reviews the album bowed at #24 on the Billboard Top 200 Album chart; which also garnered the band their third consecutive #1 album on the Top Current Comedy chart.
Below their latest music video for “Pussywhipped”
Of All You Can Eat, Rolling Stone avowed, “There’s a reason Steel Panther have transcended their origins as a cover band playing the Sunset Strip”, while Metal Sucks declared, “Steel Panther’s concept is genius…their songwriting is…preposterously snappy – and relatable.” Click HERE to check out the music video for “The Burden of Being Wonderful.”
