DeFox Records and Heart Of Steel Records are very proud to announce the EP of GENERAL JACK, English band that was formed in the late 80s and that materialized their line-up in the 90s!

General Jack's sound is heavily influenced by the NWOBHM, conducted by the singer Darren Joyce with Shaun Stain,Guitar - Patrick Jackson, Guitar - Scott Gregory, Bass, Backing vocals - Drew Poxon, Drums, Backing vocals.

The EP titled "General Jack" contains four songs in tune with the first New Wave Of British Heavy Metal of the Eighties, the most authentic one with lots of Rock and Roll and Hard Rock.

Mirko DeFox says "As soon as I listened to General Jack's songs I heard that immortal sound generated by the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal, the scent of the 80s, when the energy of the guitars was sprayed all over the world. The members of the band they lived at the forefront of the era of Saxon, Samson, Maiden, Fist. The lifeblood of that sound still flows vividly in General Jack!"

British metal band Haema announce debut EP

Haema are an industrial-influenced experimental groove metal four-piece based in Northamptonshire, UK. Recently, the band has signed to metal label, Sliptrick Records, who have just released the quartet's debut EP, 'Insurrection', which was recorded at Initiate Audio & Media by Neil Hudson(Krysthla/Gutworm).

Formed in 2015, Haema encapsulate the essense of modern metal that likes to combine various styles of heavy music together. The four-piece hones in the heaviness and ferocity of groove metal, providing the crunchiest of hooks. This is balanced out by the infectiously catchy hooks reminiscent of the nu metal scene in the early 2000s. All the while topped off by the a layer of electronic sounds and machine gun like precision found in industrial.

Think if Fear Factory, American Head Charge and Machine Head were chucked into a blender, there’s a definite nod to the early 00s sound that ditched guitar solos in favour of raw emotion, down-tuned riffs and liberal use of electronics.

Within two years as a band, Haema have crafted a unique and individual sound that has been compared to the likes of the afformentioned bands also mixed with Tool / Rage Against The Machine overtones.

“It’s been great fun taking British Lion out on the road over the past three years and I’m delighted we have the opportunity to play some more shows in 2016. This club tour will be our most extensive European one yet. Due to the routing, we’re not able to get to Scandanavia this time round but will definitely see our fans there next time. On this tour we’ll be making our first visits to Slovakia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Southern and Northern Ireland, as well as a number of different cities in countries we’ve visited on previous tours. We’ve got a really strong show lined up including plenty of songs not on the British Lion album. The whole band is really excited and can’t wait to get out on the road again. We’ll be looking to record some more shows on this tour to add to the recordings we already have for an upcoming live album.”
