Rotting Out releasing their new single

ROTTING OUT RELEASE NEW SINGLE "STONES"
NEW ALBUM "RONIN" DUE OUT APRIL 10th VIA PURE NOISE RECORDS
American hardcore punk band, Rotting Out, are releasing their new single “Stones” today. The single comes off of the band’s forthcoming full-length album, "Ronin", which will be released on April 10, 2020 via Pure Noise Records. “Stones” follows the release of their singles, “Reaper” and “Unforgiven”.
 

“‘Stones’ is a very aggressive and angry song. I started going to shows at a very young age, and in the place where I’m from there’s a very ghetto and violent atmosphere. In the projects of Los Angeles, there’s a lot of gang activity, drug use, prostitution, violence, domestic abuse, and child abuse. This is what I was surrounded with. When I got into hardcore, it was cool because it didn’t involve all of that or glorify it” shares lead vocalist Walter Delgado.

“Then, there was a point where I started to notice that certain bands or certain people in the hardcore scene adopted the style of being from the ghetto. They started glorifying the grim and the dirt - just negative things that shouldn’t be glorified to begin with from ghettos when these people were not from there. […] This isn’t pretty and it’s not meant to be put on a pedestal. It’s just a matter of the situation, and people are born into this situation unwillingly. It’s a big fuck you to everyone who tried to adopt this ‘cool swag ghetto child’ vibe when they themselves are from suburbia”.
 

On the forthcoming album, Delgado continues: "It’s been 7 years since our last LP. A lot has happened since: hard lessons, periods of isolation, weight of guilt, diagnosis, crippling realization, absolute hopelessness and also absolute peace and calmness. The purpose for the image of the record is that there was a lot that was left unspoken and I danced around the darker moments and some were just buried completely. I decided to reopen things that haven’t been open in almost 25 years and look it straight in the face. That old dusty mirror that shows me more than I’d like to see or remember. I’ve never been more proud of writing this record and nothing was left behind on my end. Some of these took more out of me than I’d like to admit. Nonetheless, I knew it was time to put it all out there”.
Raised on the sounds of local LA heroes Suicidal Tendencies and Pennywise, yet fully indebted to the thriving Southern California hardcore scene, Rotting Out have continually created some of the most energetic and captivating punk/hardcore being played today. Their music expresses a certain LA grit that is so rarely captured by many hardcore bands.

After disbanding from their original band, Dogpile, the band formed in 2007. Since then, they have released two full-length records and two EPs. With vocalist Walter Delgado’s arrest in Ohio and 18-month sentence for transporting an estimated 700 pounds of marijuana, the band was forced to take a break. After a three-year hiatus, the band reemerged into the scene at the iconic Sound and Fury Festival and This is Hardcore Fest in 2018. Now, in 2020, the band is back and ready to reclaim their place in the industry.

Edmonton Prog TYLOR DORY TRIO Shares 'Dying Light' Off Upcoming Album "Unsought Salvation" Out Dec 21st

Tylor Dory Trio from Edmonton, Canada are putting out a new record and it’s exactly the warm proggy hug you need this winter. “Unsought Salvation” is full to the brim with warm riffs and spicy drumming, topped with delectable vocals that will comfort you as the nights grow longer.

TDT explains the connection between the new album and their 2015 debut EP “Carried Away”:

“The album should serve as a valid continuation from ‘Carried Away’ alongside spiritual ties to the first EP. ‘Carried Away’ was tonally quite dark, we feel that ‘Unsought Salvation’ is a more balanced presentation featuring some upbeat tracks alongside darker and heavier tracks that you may have come to expect from listening to ‘Carried Away’.”

For their second single, the band have teamed up with GhostCultMag to premiere the proggy acoustic guitar-driven track 'Dying Light'. Tylor Dory explains:

"One of the album's primarily acoustic tracks, our first EP and the Carried Away EP both featured an acoustic song and it was very important to us to carry that forward with 'Unsought Salvation'. The song is played in an unconventional tuning (DABGAD) that I came up with while trying to gain access to certain chord voicing that wouldn’t have been available otherwise. Like many of our songs 'Dying Light' is a journey through many feels and tonalities, starting quite soft and gradually building up to an erupting guitar solo." 

Due out December 21, 2019, “Unsought Salvation” has something for everyone and will especially be enjoyed by fans of Devin Townsend, Opeth, and Porcupine Tree

Tylor Dory Trio was conceived in late 2012 by guitarist/vocalist Tylor Dory and drummer Jonathan Webster. Wanting to step aside from playing in extreme metal bands, Dory and Webster decided to form the duo to explore the music close to their hearts - proggy weird stuff. The trio was completed in late 2013 after the addition of their bassist Slava Fedossenko.

Bringing together influences like Opeth, Alice In Chains, and Rush; TDT is characterized by proficient musicianship, tight songwriting, and powerful hooks. Hardcore band, The Warriors, have premiered their new single, “Painful Truth”, featuring Winston McCall. “’The Painful Truth’ was the first song written and recorded for 'Monomyth'” explains the band. “We wanted to throw all convention out the window and push the boundaries of our creativity in every respect, while still honoring the 'old' Warriors sound. In a sense, this song was the foundation upon which the rest of the album was built”.  "Monomyth", the band’s first new album in nearly a decade, is due out tomorrow, December 13th, via Pure Noise Records. 

In the time since The Warriors released their last album, a lot has changed – not just in music, but in the world at large. But, true to their tenacious past, The Warriors’ fifth full-length album, "Monomyth" confronts these sea changes head-on – all the while not losing an ounce of the intensity that made them one of the underground’s most captivating heavy acts in the mid-2000s. The result is their most complete work to date: an album that demands your attention from its first note to its final strains, all along the way challenging listeners both musically and in message. The Warriors are frontman Marshall Lichtenwaldt, drummer Roger Camero, bassist Joe Martin, and guitarists Javier Zarate and Charlie Alvarez.
When writing "Monomyth", frontman Marshall Lichtenwaldt found inspiration in The Kybalion as well as the concept of the hero’s journey, analyzed and popularized by Joseph Campbell in his book "The Hero with a Thousand Faces" (which also served as a major influence on "Star Wars" creator George Lucas). These themes are distilled into the album’s 12 songs, juxtaposed against Eastern philosophies and meditative transcendental teachings that reverberate even louder when placed atop the band’s caustic brand of hardcore.

With its focus on looking inward, "Monomyth" ultimately serves to soundtrack each listener’s own personal hero’s journey, ebbing and flowing as life does – while ultimately reinforcing a few key imperatives, chief among them the need to destroy the ego holding us back from being our best self. In the context of a 21st-century culture that finds us building façades as a form of self-survival, it feels like The Warriors have more to say than ever before.

“People tend to get sucked into this vacuum with everything that’s happening in the news” Lichtenwaldt says “It’s all just a bunch of bullshit. If we wanna talk about hardcore, we need to start thinking in terms of doing things that are actually hard: Being nice to someone who doesn’t deserve it. Being kind and compassionate to someone who hasn’t earned it. If you can do that, it causes a ripple effect that reverberates farther than you can imagine. Living for others can be the hardest thing to do sometimes. Once you do that, you start feeling more fulfilled”.

A poignant glimpse into the pain and distress that millions of women live with on a daily basis all over the world, the song ENDO is Jennie's cathartic exorcism of her own personal demons. “Endo is based on my surgery for Stage 4 Endometriosis, something I was unaware I had. The lyric "Break the mass up" is about having an 11 cm cyst (Endometrioma) on my ovary removed. This disease affects so many women worldwide, I really think it’s time we talked openly about it.”

The band explore dynamic new territory with this moody, rollercoaster of a song. Recorded at Roundhead Studios with producer Greg Haver (Bullet For My Valentine, Manic Street Preachers), engineered by Simon Gooding (Alien Weaponry, Neil Finn) and mixed in Los Angeles by Ben Grosse (Marilyn Manson, Disturbed, Stone Temple Pilots), the song was mastered in New York by Ryan Smith.


Devilskin display confidence and a mastery of their art with a delivery that’s both beautiful and bombastic. The gorgeous close vocal intro gives way to a crushing, all-powerful riff and the song twists, turns and totally engulfs the listener, just like the condition itself. “We've been writing a lot and really digging deep into the songs and the emotions involved. We have definitely evolved again as songwriters. We love to write our own rules, push boundaries and kick down barriers. You need to in order to grow” says band spokesman Paul Martin.

Devilskin will join HALESTORM for an 18 date tour starting in the Netherlands 1st October and take in 11 countries, finishing in Madrid, Spain 25th October before heading to the UK for a further ten shows.

By the end of the 80s, Gary Moon got one of his biggest gigs, being taken by the famous band Three Dog Night. 
Some time later he ended being a Night Ranger member, along Brad Gills and Kelly Keagy, where he recorded on album "Feeding At The Mojo". 
With two solo albums under his belt, he is recreating several of the song he was part of, along Eric Ragno in keys. Ragno played keyboards in several bands like The Babys, Mecca and Joe Lynn Turner.

In this conversation with Argentinean rock journalist, Lucas H. Gordon, Gary and Eric talked about their presentation in the Melodic Rock Fest in Chicago, and Moon commented a few interesting rock stories.

Tara Lynch is an American guitarist, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. Tara will be releasing her new single “Trustless” from her forthcoming debut album “Evil Enough” on Friday, February 10, 2017. “Evil Enough” is a melodic metal album full of rich guitar dominant tracks, all written by Tara Lynch. Nancy Wilson of Heart to debut side project called Roadcase Royale

Hammers of Misfortune will release their sixth full-length

On July 22nd, West Coast progressive heavy metallers Hammers of Misfortune will release their sixth full-length, Dead Revolution, worldwide via Metal Blade Records. Hammers of Misfortune enlisted Nick Dumitriu (Vhöl, Ritual Chamber) to produce this record, utilizing a vintage Trident board and minimizing digital processing. The result is a warm, sharp sound that harkens back to productions like John Leckie's treatment of Pink Floyd's Meddle or David Hitchcock's master work in Camel's Mirage. Recorded at Light Rail Studios in San Francisco, CA, Dead Revolution is more varied than its predecessor (2011's acclaimed 17th Street), by using different tones, and delving into heavier, darker territory. With tracks like the stupendous "The Precipice", the raging "Flying Alone", and the riff-organ fest that is "Dead Revolution", Hammers Of Misfortune have found a way to indulge their progresssive and psychedelic tendencies while remaining decidedly metal. That's not to say Dead Revolution is without its slow-burners: "Here Comes the Sky" pivots off a Pink Floyd axis (think "A Pillow in the Wind") - with its soft strums, careful vocal interplay, and delicate percussion - before jettisoning into traditional heavy metal motifs. "Of course, every song stands out to me," says principal songwriter and guitarist John Cobbett. "I've no idea how listeners will react to them. 'The Velvet Inquisition' is probably one of the most ambitious compositions we've ever recorded. I was trying some different writing methods and the results are...interesting. 'Days of '49' is an attempt to repurpose an old traditional folk song, which is new for us."

(West Hollywood, CA) – The internationally renowned glam rock band Steel Panther today released “Live From Lexxi’s Mom’s Garage,” the band’s first full length film featuring a live ten song acoustic concert interspersed with comedic vignettes showcasing the band’s unmatched shenanigans and debauchery. The one hour film is now available on DVD from Steel Panther’s label, Kobalt Records, at SteelPantherRocks.com. For the uninitiated, Steel Panther was formed in 2000 and is Michael Starr (lead singer), Satchel (guitarist), Lexxi Foxx (bass) and Stix Zadinia (drums).

“Live From Lexxi’s Mom Garage is one of the best movies to ever be released in history. I know that for a fact, because Lexxi’s mom told me!” said Michael Starr. “If you like rocking out with half-naked chicks, partying all night, and killer music, then you will love this,” he added.

“Live From Lexxi’s Mom’s Garage” was taped in Los Angeles last October in front of a live audience of scantily clad woman (and one old creepy fat guy who somehow got a ticket) inside the uncharacteristically large and professionally lit garage of Ms. Foxx (Bobbie Brown), who coincidentally also happens to be the mother of Lexxi Foxx. The musical portions of the film feature the band performing acoustic versions of their most popular songs such as “Party Like Tomorrow is the End of the World” and “Community Property” as well as one new song titled, “That’s When You Came In.” Several female violin players who are “very easy on the eyes,” says Stix, are featured and play through the various hits with the band.

Between songs, the film follows the mischievousness of Steel Panther as they figure out who they can and cannot sleep with.

Steel Panther recently wrapped their ‘Well Hungover” North American headlining tour and last week announced a new UK arena tour. The UK run will fire up in Wacken, Germany at Wacken Open Air on 8/6, crisscross Europe and end at The Birmingham Barclay Card Arena on 10/19.
