Odium Records announces on 30th of November a premiere of the split of two Norwegian bands - Kirkerbran and Visegard titled "Kirkegard". Each of the bands prepared six songs. About an hour of pure Norwegian black metal rooted in the 90s.

Among the invited guests you will hear Nattefrost. Daniel Vrangsinn of Carpathian Forest is responsible for the mix of vocals on Kirkebrann's side whilst Morfeus known from Limbonic Art is behind the whole of Visegard's production.

SHAPED IN DREAMS is a musical project with guest

SHAPED IN DREAMS is a musical project of composer/multiinstrumentalist Martin Matiasovic featuring international, renowned guest artists from Black Crown Initiate, Obscura, Obscurity, Alkaloid and more. The main motivation behind the project was establishing a creative outlet for the artist's restless urge to compose and thereby also present his eclectic, multigenre vision of music mainly drawing inspiration from heavy, guitar oriented and classical music. The result is a kind of music that represents the message that genres and styles are but a superficial, non-essential quality of music, that its real substance lies beyond them and that they ultimately don't matter. This is expressed by a multitude of genres represented on the album while at the same time conveying the same ideas throughout its entirety.

Born February 1993 in Slovakia, Martin showed an early interest in music starting with recorder at the age of 6, later switching to french horn. During his mid teenage years he developed an interest in alternative rock music listening to Nirvana and Alice In Chains which also led him to pick up the guitar. Shortly after that he started favoring heavier, more guitar oriented bands like Megadeth and Judas Priest, later scandinavian melodeath pioneers In Flames and Dark Tranquillity as well as instrumental guitar music from Shrapnel Records artists. From day one he was experimenting with writing own music rather than learning songs of other artists. This naturally progressed to a heavy interest in composition and music theory which, soon after, he was being taught formally at the conservatory in Bratislava where he also continued with his french horn studies. During these years he formed a melodic death metal band with friends. This helped him to further develop his songwriting skills in the metal genre and gain experiences with playing in a band situation, later he stepped in as a touring guitarist for a local symphonic black metal band. After graduating at the conservatory he went on to study french horn performance at Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber Dresden, Germany, where he attained his bachelor's degree in 2019 and got further accepted for master studies. During his second year in Dresden he won a scholarship which he used as a financial basis to start producing SHAPED IN DREAMS' first realease 'Echoes of Eldren Deeds'.

Mexican Xipe Totec re-release debut album

DEFOX RECORDS and INVINCIBLE RECORDS are excited to annunce the re-release of debut album of cult mexican Death Metal band XIPE TOTEC.
The release contain seven re-recorded songs and will be distributed in more than 240 countries worldwide and over 120 digital webstores, including the biggest Itunes, Spotify, Deezer, Amazon, Google Music ...

Xipe Totec is a Mexican band formed in 1996. Their first album “Prehispanic Beg” was released through Toaj Records in 1998 and contains ten powerful tracks that vary in sound, but are highly rooted in the Death metal genre. Xipe Totec was primarily thought to act as a self-conscious being, which main goal would be to emphasize the roots of Mexican people. The daily life of Aztec people offered us a vast amount of information that we could transform into song lyrics: The violently conquered Aztec people; the loss of their ancient language; the ancient Mesoamerican history, their cosmological visions, religion and human sacrifices. All of which fits perfectly within the death metal genre. Xipe Totec is considered to be a pioneering band in what today is known as “pre-Hispanic metal”. After several live shows in Mexico, the band split up in 2001 due to internal problems. 

After thirteen years of their debut, the band reunites again to record other albums, “Eztlacuani” (blood thirsty), released by Ablaze records, was a great success. The third album titled “In Moyocoyani”, the title makes allusion to the god Ometeolt, also known as Tezcatlipoca. The sound on this album has matured considerably. Once again, lyrics written in ancient Aztec language can be found here, as well as pre-Hispanic instrumentation in all songs.
The latest labum titled "Miquian" (The moment of death)launched in 2015 is available on digital market.

BarbaRossa ferocity, obscurity and melody

DeFox Records and INVINCIBLE Records are proud to announce the debut EP of italian death metal band BARBAROSSA.
The EP titled "He who walks alone" contains 5 songs in vein of Melodic Death Metal.

Barbarossa band founded in March 2014 by Lorenzo and Davy, at guitars. 
After meeting in a pub they decided to give birth to a new musical project.
They started to work with hate and love (musically talking), while Lorenzo was Death metal sound-oriented Davy came from a Thrash Metal background and they both wanted to impose their will. 
After some weeks of insults, came the discovery of the concept of diplomacy and they started to go in the right way. They decided to create something based on ferocity, obscurity and melody….something modern but still with solid roots planted in the tradition of death and thrash metal. 
Something technical but that anyway puts the focus on spontaneity of the songwriting.

After some time Cristiano took place behind the drum heads, giving shape and power to Davy’s still unripe riffs, while in the meantime Lorenzo was given the task to make the walls tremble with growl vocals and to dash off the first lyrics.
To complete the line-up, arrived Alex on Bass guitar. He has a really well kept beard, worked out fingers and a growl as deep as an oceanic trench, so how could him not being in?
Barbarossa’s live debut arrived in December 2014 at Britannia pub in Vedelago, with a baptism of fire over expectations and a wide appreciation by the crowd witch pushed the band to carry on the project and to ask the best from herself.
So went on with satisfaction live activity In Northern Italy with some live gigs in Veneto and Emilia Romagna.
Today Barbarossa entering in the underground metal scene with their first ep: Operation Barbarossa, the fruit of long session of composition, whole nights playing and to conceive a lot of songs that they can collect the positive opinion of the worldwide metal kids ...Barbarossa is ready!!
