Hardcore band The Warriors have premiered their new single

THE WARRIORS RELEASE NEW SINGLE "PAINFUL TRUTH" (FT. WINSTON MCCALL)

NEW ALBUM "MONOMYTH" DUE OUT TOMORROW
VIA PURE NOISE RECORDS
Hardcore band, The Warriors, have premiered their new single, “Painful Truth”, featuring Winston McCall. “’The Painful Truth’ was the first song written and recorded for 'Monomyth'” explains the band. “We wanted to throw all convention out the window and push the boundaries of our creativity in every respect, while still honoring the 'old' Warriors sound. In a sense, this song was the foundation upon which the rest of the album was built”.  "Monomyth", the band’s first new album in nearly a decade, is due out tomorrow, December 13th, via Pure Noise Records.

In the time since The Warriors released their last album, a lot has changed – not just in music, but in the world at large. But, true to their tenacious past, The Warriors’ fifth full-length album, "Monomyth" confronts these sea changes head-on – all the while not losing an ounce of the intensity that made them one of the underground’s most captivating heavy acts in the mid-2000s. The result is their most complete work to date: an album that demands your attention from its first note to its final strains, all along the way challenging listeners both musically and in message. It’s an album built for modern times, written by those who’ve carefully lived it from afar.
The Warriors are frontman Marshall Lichtenwaldt, drummer Roger Camero, bassist Joe Martin, and guitarists Javier Zarate and Charlie Alvarez.
When writing "Monomyth", frontman Marshall Lichtenwaldt found inspiration in The Kybalion as well as the concept of the hero’s journey, analyzed and popularized by Joseph Campbell in his book "The Hero with a Thousand Faces" (which also served as a major influence on "Star Wars" creator George Lucas). These themes are distilled into the album’s 12 songs, juxtaposed against Eastern philosophies and meditative transcendental teachings that reverberate even louder when placed atop the band’s caustic brand of hardcore.

With its focus on looking inward, "Monomyth" ultimately serves to soundtrack each listener’s own personal hero’s journey, ebbing and flowing as life does – while ultimately reinforcing a few key imperatives, chief among them the need to destroy the ego holding us back from being our best self. In the context of a 21st-century culture that finds us building façades as a form of self-survival, it feels like The Warriors have more to say than ever before.

“People tend to get sucked into this vacuum with everything that’s happening in the news” Lichtenwaldt says “It’s all just a bunch of bullshit. If we wanna talk about hardcore, we need to start thinking in terms of doing things that are actually hard: Being nice to someone who doesn’t deserve it. Being kind and compassionate to someone who hasn’t earned it. If you can do that, it causes a ripple effect that reverberates farther than you can imagine. Living for others can be the hardest thing to do sometimes. Once you do that, you start feeling more fulfilled”.

X-Hero come back

Mirko DeFox and X-HERO to celebrate the 30 years since the release of the debut album, dated 1987, publish a EP entitled "Cosmic Virgin" with two unpublished tracks, "My ship knows" and "Long legs Razorblade" recorded in the middle of the years 2000 at the Vision Studios in Vicenza.

As Mirko tells, the band's repertoire was moving with melodic Hard Rock tunes with finest Prog Metal and Fusion.
Mirko's constant search for stylistic solutions away from homologation with trends and genres of the moment, leads him to create a different, visceral album where the glories of the past are barely perceptible, and the shades, riffs and arrangements so they become a chaotic collection of unexpressed moods.
For a variety of reasons, the album will never see the light but after a decade, some recordings will be released in the form of EP.

The song "My ship knows" is an explicit metaphor on the journey of humanity in search of a truth until now denied, while "Long legs Razorblade" evokes contradictions of sometimes life-threatening, sometimes deadly and relentless life.
With Mirko DeFox the line-up was completed by Herman Tonini (current band axeman) and Paris Bertoldo on guitars, Davide Pangrazzi on drums and Ivano Pangrazzi on bass.
The X-HERO performed live in northern Italy and in Slovenia and Croatia, to remember the performances of the 2005 and 2007 editions of the 80's Italian Metal Legion Festival, in 2005 the 80's Italian Metal Legion WINTER's Season, concerts with Bud Tribe, Rain, Dark Ages, Heat, Rosko's.

The visonary cover artwork is made by the extraordinary RRR Remi Real Rock for ANL.

The official release date is November 19, 2017, and the product will be distributed around the world on the best digital stores, iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, Deezer, Google Play Music and many more.

Svedish punk rockers Mahalium announce new music!

Svedish punk rockers Mähälium announce new music!

Mähälium started off in the autumn of 1998 when the three friends Daniel (bass) Rka (drums) and Tholle (vocals/guitar) found out that they all stood without a band. Soon after that they recorded and released a 4-track demo cassette called "Välkommen till Sverige" and was soon followed by the cd "Blågula ögon ser dig" and the 5-track demo cassette "Schackmatt". 1999 Mähälium brought in Simon on guitar and vocals, with that line-up they re-recorded "Landet dagen efter" för the compilation CD Röjarskivan 4. Simon later quits the band and are replaced with Arvid on guitar and vocals and it's by this time they are recording the 7 inch single "Du är såld" and later the cd "Ditt liv/ditt krig". In the spring of 2001 Rka says his about to quit the band and in the summer 2001 Mähälium is doing their last gig and at the same time releases "Ditt liv/ditt krig"

In the summer of 2015 Tholle and Daniel run in to each other and starts to talk memories and they both agree it would be fun to see if they still remembered the old songs. Time goes by and by accident Tholle runs into Arvid one late night at the pub, they haven't seen eath other for at least 10 years but Tholle tell Arvid the idea about getting together, have a cup of coffee, and just play for a while. Not without a doubt Arvid finally agree. Rka is contacted but has no interest in the band so the ask Bobban from the local ska band The Liptones to join in.
Now more than 15 years after their last gig by Mähälium, they´re back with new music. The first single "Olydnad Uppror Revolt" is released on May 12th and the new album "När verkligheten slår dig" is release May 26th.
